AlloComp and Dell Technologies Partner to Bring AI to Factory Floors, Warehouses, and Beyond

AI FORWARD >Future Work brought together more than 100 innovators, industry leaders, and AI experts to the Dell Technologies Customer Solution Centre in Limerick to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming manufacturing, logistics, design, and automation – and how Ireland is uniquely positioned to lead in responsible, scalable AI deployment.
The event was the second in a growing series by Mid-West-based startup AlloComp, whose mission is to make AI more accessible, sustainable, and grounded in practical outcomes. This edition marked the start of an exciting collaboration between AlloComp and Dell Technologies, working together to help bring AI solutions directly into factories, warehouses, and operational environments across the country.

From live demos to expert-led panels, the full-day programme tackled not just what’s possible with AI – but how to make it happen, at every stage of the journey. Topics ranged from infrastructure readiness and system design to funding strategies, automation, and deployment at scale.

“AI can – and should – benefit the bottom line and improve efficiencies across every sector,” added Smyth.
Attendees were treated to practical insights and local success stories. A highlight included the panel “AI on the Factory Floor,” where speakers from Wrxflo, The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC), Maverick AI, and Dell Technologies discussed pragmatic pathways to integrating AI in production environments – backed by real case studies.
“This is the second in the series of events by AlloComp. ICHRC was pleased to be invited to attend,” said one of the speakers, Tony Virr. “The topics presented by the panels and individuals with specialist knowledge were truly inspiring, causing much discussion. This event was hosted at Dell Technologies in Limerick, where we could actually see live examples of robotics powered by AI in action. We can’t wait to be part of the next one!”
Smarter, Sustainable AI Infrastructure
As AI adoption accelerates, so do demands on infrastructure. The event also shone a spotlight on new approaches like liquid cooling, modular data centres, and energy-optimised compute environments – solutions that address growing concerns around power use, carbon emissions, and grid strain.
“Data centres are often viewed as a strain on the grid. But with the right approach, they can be part of the solution- enabling productivity, supporting energy balancing, and driving climate-smart innovation,” Smyth noted.
With plans already in motion for the next instalment of the series AI FORWARD >Future Health, the message is clear: Ireland has the ambition, the talent, and the momentum to shape the future of AI – at home and beyond.
